For the devised work Ascend, the sketch process lasted until the final weeks of the production to account for plot, character, and script changes.

I wanted to create pieces of clothing that both exist and do not exist in the everyday world, so that the world of the play was both familiar and new at the same time.

Fabric manipulation such as shirring, gathering and origami techniques evoke organic matter and tie the actors to the natural world.
